Position Title: Human Resources Business Partner

Employment Type: Full-time, Academic Staff, Salaried

Reports To: The Human Resources Business Partner will report to the Associate Director of Human Resources.

Full Time Pay Range: $65,000 - $72,000 annualized
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Qualifications:

¿ Bachelor¿s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Masters degree though not required is a plus
¿ At least five - seven years of human resources generalist experience
¿ Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including employee relations, workplace accommodations, employee wellness & engagement, compensation, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
¿ PHR, SPHR, CP, or S-CP preferred
 

Although not required, the ideal candidate for this position will possess knowledge about the WorkDay Enterprise Management system, as well as knowledge about the institution of higher education.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

¿ Serves as a consultative Human Resources resource and liaison. Interprets, advises on, applies and disseminates complex policies, procedures, and options to leadership and employees; and recommends best strategies according to established objectives and goals.
¿ Facilitates and processes complex transactions and programs according to established policies and procedures.
¿ Audits human resources reports to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
¿ Develops and implements processes and procedures for various HR functions such as employee relations, training, benefits, recruitment, compensation, and payroll.
¿ Receives and responds to inquiries in-person, via email, and through various communication mediums and relays information to appropriate entities.
¿ Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Consults with organizational leadership providing HR guidance when appropriate and provides performance management guidance.
¿ This position serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department
